Mary Josephine “Josie” Scism, daughter of Tilman Buster and Lou Ann (Crowder) Chance, was born June 10, 1932 in the Chance Community, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 2, 2019 in Jenks, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 20 days.

Josie and her sister Wilma were inseparable and were always on the go.  She loved all her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and always saw the best in everyone. She was a member of Baptist Mission Church.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; James Scism, one sister; Kathleen Hartshorne and son-in-law; Jim Adair.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Tootie Adair of Stilwell, Linda Gray and husband Mike of Siloam Springs, Ark., Tabby Pike and husband Leroy of Jenks, sister; Wilma Williams of Westville, grandchildren; Johnny Beach and wife Tracy, Timmy Beach and wife Amy, Tommy Beach and wife Keech all of Westville, Jalene Salyers Sumerduck of Virginia, Jackie Curtis and husband Shawn of Siloam Springs, Ark., Kevin Mann and wife Monica of Dayton, Ohio, Zach Hess of Westville, Brandy Rivera and Ivan Cruz of Sand Springs. Twenty-five great -grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, several bonus grandkids, nieces and nephews who called her Grandma Josie also survive her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Baptist Mission Church with Rev. Dwayne Driggers officiating.

Interment followed in the Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home.
