age 81
Silas R. Morris, age 81, better known as Uncle Bud Morris, died here Friday morning after a brief illness with pneumonia. Mr. Morris had lived most of his life in this immediate section and leaves a number of relatives and a large host of friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral was held Saturday and burial made in Baptist Mission cemetery.
[Silas Randolph Morris was the son of Isaac Morris and Frances Ellen Dougherty Morris– daughter of James Dougherty, Jr.. Isaac was the uncle of Gabriel Washburn Morris, Jr. and Frances was an aunt to Gabriel’s wife – also named Frances Ellen Dougherty- the daughter of Benjamin Randolph Dougherty]
