Eldon Dwayne Collins son of Cecil Lee and Clarice Margaret (Gerber) Collins was born October 18, 1948 in Miami, OK and departed this life on September 8, 2018 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Eldon was married to Joyce Ann Thurman and to this union two children
were born; Teresa and Michael. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and dirt
track racing but most of all he enjoyed precious time spent with his
family who he loved dearly. He was a Christian of the Missionary Baptist
Faith. He also enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch swing, watching
hummingbirds and loved his dog "Sally".
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Clarice Collins
and siblings; Herman Lee Collins, Tommy Gene Collins, Labecca Alice
January and Debbie Joyce Collins.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 50 years; Joyce Collins of the home in Westville, OK, 2 children; Teresa Green and husband Todd of Papillion, NE, Michael Collins and wife Michelle of Westville, OK, 7 grandchildren; Ethan Dodd and wife Stasie, Aaron Dodd, Ashleigh Collins and companion Uriah Chastain, Taylor Collins, Jimmy Collins, Kristen Carr and husband Justin, Kaitlin Huitt, great grandchildren; Colton Dodd, Lily Dodd, Rylie Dodd, Jase Carr and 1 on the way Rhett Carr. Siblings; Marlo Underhill of Fayetteville, AR, Mary Adams of Siloam Springs, AR, Eva Hankins and husband Danny of Wagoner, OK, Bonnie Ryan and husband Steve of Jay, OK, Vickie Hubbard of Coweta, OK, Cecil Collins of Westville, OK, Billy Collins and wife Alisa of Victoria, TX, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Westville, OK with Bro. Justin Heck leading the service.
Interment will be in the Old Baptist Mission.
