Faye Buffington
October 22, 1925 - June 1, 2006
Funeral services for Faye Buffington were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with Bro. James Duffell and Bro. Jim Beavers officiating.
Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Faye Gene Buffington, daughter of Levi Snipp and Dessie (Wilson) Snipp, was born October 22, 1925 in Addilee Community of Adair County, Oklahoma.
She departed this life June 1, 2006 at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayettville, at the age of 80 years, seven months and nine days.On February 24, 1948 she was married to Owen "Hungry" Buffington in Fayettville. Owen preceded her in death on January 10, 1984.
Faye raised chicken for Tyson, Simmons and Hudson Farms. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church of Westville.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen and son, John Levi Buffington and two brothers, Millard Wilson and Ray Wilson.Surviving family includes one son, Gene Buffington and wife Diana of Watts; grandchildren, Keena Vernon and husband Jeff of Siloam Springs, Michael "Chooch" Owen Buffington of Watts, Anthony "Tony" John Buffington and wife, Rebecca of West Siloam Springs, Brody Owen Buffington of Watts, and Ashley Anderson of Watts.
Great grandchildren, Hannah and Chris, Kelsey, Miranda, Levi, Kyisha and Hillarie, one great-great grandson, Christian and a host of friends and loved ones.
