Timothy Wayne Phillips, the son of Walter Wayne Phillips and Janice M. (Tuell) Thurber, was born February 5, 1965, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He departed this life June 19, 2014, at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 14 days.

Timothy was a lifelong resident of Stilwell and graduated from Cave Springs School. He worked as a carpenter and was a self taught electronic technician. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, guitar-playing and sketching. Timothy was always willing to help others, whatever their need and he always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Wayne Phillips, grandparents, Walter and Maudie Phillips and Rayburn and Edna Walkingstick Tuell, one uncle, Bill Phillips and one aunt, Phyllis Hooper.

His surviving family includes, his mother and stepfather, Janice and David Thurber, of Stilwell; sister, Janissa Phillips, of Stilwell, OK; brother, Tosley Thurber and fiancé, Mira, of Stilwell; niece, Tesslyn Thurber, of Stilwell and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles and lots of friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Blackwood Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
