Ronald (Kips)
Johnson, 70, of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed away September 16, 2019 in
Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 20, 1948 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma
to Charley and Mary Jane (Vann) Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his
parents, infant brother, sister, niece and a nephew.
Ronald worked for Cherokee
Nation Natural Resources for numerous years, while his health permitted. In
his spare time, when he was able, he enjoyed pitching horseshoes, going to
flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores, mowing the lawn even if it didn’t
need to be mowed and he enjoyed many other activities. He really enjoyed
spending time with his great nieces and nephews.
He is survived by a loving
family that includes four sisters, Ramona Sanders and Wynona Christie of
Bunch, Linda Livers and husband Johnny of Stilwell, Marie Soap and husband
James of Stilwell; three brothers, his twin – Donald Johnson and wife Lizzie
of Stilwell, Ernest Johnson of Bunch and Albert Johnson and wife Dena of
Rocky Mountain; eight nieces; eight nephews and a host of other family and
friends survive him.
A visitation was held Thursday,
September 19, 2019 at the Power House Church of Stilwell.
A funeral service
was held Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Power House Church in Stilwell,
Oklahoma with Pastor Bill Pettit officiating.
Internment followed in the
Hickory-Vann Cemetery in Bunch.
The Parsons-Canoe-Beggs Funeral
Home, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, had charge of arrangements.
