Billy Don Newsom Jr. son of Billy Don and Thelma Mae (Asbill) Newsom Sr, was born August 9, 1970 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on October 4, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 49 years, l month and 25 days.

Bill had a passion for many things including hunting, fishing, camping but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family especially his children Emma and Wyatt. He graduated from Stilwell High School and in his younger years enjoyed fast cars and motorcycles.

He was a contractor/builder by trade and worked very hard for many years to provide for his family.

Bill accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour and was baptized by the late Rev. Lawrence Eagle at Salem Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible and attending New Life Church. He had the best smile and was always willing to help anyone in need.
 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Danny and Gwen Newsom, Ed and Mollie Asbill, his father; Bill Newsom Sr.
 

Bill is survived by his wife: Heather Newsom, children; Wyatt Newsom and Emma Newsom all of the home in Stilwell, mother; Thelma Newsom, sisters; Tami Eagle and husband Steve, Shela Wade and husband Phil, nephews, Snow, Elan, Joshua, William, Mason, Caleb and Ian, nieces; Jade, Chloe Horton, Brielle, Chloe Scott, Evie, Piper and Heidi. Mother-in-law; Pamela June Rogers and husband Bill, Sisters-in-law; Jenna Lee, Karen Whitecotton, Amy Scott, brothers-in-law; Jared Lee, Justin Whitecotton, several other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.


Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at New Life Church, Stilwell, with Rev. Steve Eagle and Pastor Max Ford officiating.

Interment will be at Asbill Family Cemetery, Stilwell. Arrangements by Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell
