Levi S. Bisel

01 Apr 1903 ~ 26 Nov 1986

Levi S. Bisel, 83, a former resident of Enid, died Wednesday in Lockhart, Texas. The funeral will be 2 PM Sunday at the First Christian Church in Mutual with Carroll McCoy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Dunlap Cemetery, directed by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.

He was born April 1, 1903, in Braymer, Missouri, and later moved with his parents to the Mutual community where he attended schools. He graduated from Woodward high school, then attended Northwestern State Teachers College in Alva. After graduation, he taught school in Higgins, Texas, and at May, Mooreland and Woodward. He then attended Oklahoma University, graduating in 1932 with a degree in pharmacy. He made his home in Enid and worked at Sanford and Stunkel Drug Store from 1942 until retiring in 1958. He then moved to Houston, Texas, returning to Enid in 1969. He was a member of University Place Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two children; and a brother, Ralph K. Bisel, Pratt, Kansas.
