Lorene Elizabeth (Bouziden) Annett died at St Ann's Nursing Home in Oklahoma City, on Sunday, May 7, 2006. She was born July 14, 1918 to Thomas Bouziden and Nellie (Shaddy) Bouziden near Alva, Oklahoma.

Except for a brief time in California, she lived in Alva all her life until she came to St Ann's Nursing Home almost 5 years ago. She and her husband Joe were married by Father Leo Claus on June 5, 1937, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alva, Oklahoma.. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage and 8 children.

Lorene is preceded in death by her husband Joe, one son, Thomas Earl and a brother, Delore Bouziden.

She is survived by 7 children: Joe and wife Pat of Amarillo, Texas, Mildred Gesner and husband Gordon of Colorado Springs, Ellis and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Mary Welty and husband Steve of Stillwater, John and wife Katia of Bixby, Gary and wife Norma of Sacramento, California, and Linda Mathieu and husband Richard of Alva.

Lorene was blessed with 22 grandchildren: Danny Annett, David Annett, Cheryl Lara, Charles Gesner, Beverly Eidmann, Gordon Gesner II, Renee Gesner, Thomas Annett, Terry Annett, Toni Perkins, Trudy Annett, Billy Annett, Rick Annett, Julia Annett, Bryan Annett, Steven Welty, Wayne Welty, Amanda Naylor, Lindsey Weathers, Hazel Huizar, Jesse Annett, and Starleigh Rudisill; 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by 3 brothers and one sister: Richard Bouziden of Goodland, Kansas, Thomas Bouziden, Oklahoma City, Jim Bouziden, Oklahoma City and Amelia Bouziden of Broomfield, Colorado.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Member of the Alter Society, selected Catholic Mother of the Year 1957 and President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 1961.

A memorial service and visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Smith and Kernke, 14624 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73124. Funeral mass will be held at St Ann's Nursing Home Tuesday, May 9 at 9:30 am. Graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Alva, Oklahoma at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Joe Annett, 92, Alva

Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on March 24 with Father Dave Imming, Pastor Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Alva. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Annett was preceded in death by a son Tom on December 31, 1974, his parents; four sisters, Ethel Easley, Rosie Loomis, Mable Stroud and Pearl De Bard; three brothers, John, Francis and Charlie.

Joe is survived by his wife Lorene, three daughters and their husbands, Mildred and Gordon Gesner of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary and Steven Welty of Stillwater, and Linda and Richard Mathieu of Alva. Four sons and their wives, Joe and Pat of Amarillo, Texas, Ellis and Nancy of Oklahoma City, John and Donna of Tulsa, and Gary and Norma of Suisun City, Calif., twenty-two grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund.
