Maudie "Mae" (James) Green was born October 2, 1931, at Foss, OK, to Thomas Henry and Etna Novella (Womack) James.

She passed away August 13, 2017 at Norman, OK, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 11 days.

Mae graduated from Foss High School in 1949. She attended college at what is now Southwestern Oklahoma State University before starting work as a Production Clerk at Shell Oil Company in Elk City, OK. She married Francis Henry Green on December 22, 1956. They made their home east of Elk City. They welcomed four children between 1958 and 1962. Mae was a busy homemaker who also worked beside her husband on the farm. She loved genealogy and made many trips to the birthplaces of her ancestors, gathering family information and meeting relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Vickie Green, one granddaughter, Jennifer Manon Test, her parents and a brother, Clifford James.

She is survived by three daughters, Angie Cosby and husband Lee of Yukon, OK, Connie Woods and husband, Gene of Oklahoma City, OK, Kelli Test and husband, Bryon of Guymon, OK; two grandchildren, Dr. Jack B. Test, Jr. and wife, Juliann of Edmond, OK, and Jacob Test of Guymon, OK; one sister, Ruby Webb of Grapevine, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery.
