Mr. William Ronald "Bill" "Ronnie" Morrison, 71, a longtime resident of the Ochelata area, died at 6:27 P.M. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Morrison will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Ochelata First Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Myers and Rev. Eric Linville of the Ramona Friends Church officiating. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Wesleyan Christian School, ATTN: Jan Boomer, 1780 Silver Lake Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.
Mr. Morrison was born at Ochelata, Oklahoma on December 24, 1943 to Arlene (Donaldson) Morrison and Guy Morrison Sr. He grew up in the Ochelata area and graduated from Ochelata High School in 1961. He then attended Okmulgee Tech where he majored in electrical technology. He was married to Sharon Kay Castleman in 1964 in Ochelata. He was employed with Reda Pump Company and they made their home in Long Beach, California, Wichita Falls, Texas and then Magnolia, Arkansas. He then formed his own company, SPS Inc. in Magnolia, Arkansas which he operated until 1983 when he sold the company and returned to Oklahoma to make his home. He joined Standard Pump in Dewey, Oklahoma and helped start Green Country Pumps at Hominy, Oklahoma. He then formed Five Star Equipment along with partners Sean McIntosh, Luke Fang, and Mr. Zhuang. He also helped start and was a major share holder in Dynaflo at Skiatook along with partners, Sean McIntosh, Eddie Rongey and others which he sold in June of 2013 to retire. He was a member of the Friends Church in Ramona.
He liked to travel, enjoyed people, friends and family and enjoyed running cattle.
Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife, Sharon Morrison of the home, three daughters, Rhonda Charlene Morrison Askew and husband Jim of Barnsdall, Kay Lynn Morrison Brooks of Ramona and LeAnn Morrison McIntosh and husband Sean of Ramona, one brother, John J. Morrison of Magnolia, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Miranda Askew Campbell and husband Bryce, Jordie Askew Leach and husband Jaron, Garrett Brooks, Fallyn Brooks, Kolby Rae McIntosh and Thatcher Quinn McIntosh and his father-in-law, Charles Castleman of Ochelata. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Guy Morrison Jr.
