U.S. Veteran Services at 2 pm on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Seabolt Cemetery, Sequoyah County with Bro. Udell Denny officiating.
John Mitchell Hagan, son of Tom Calvin and Cora (Vickery) Hagan was born October 12, 1921 in Yale, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 17, 2013 in Broken Arrow, Ok at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 5 days.
He served his country proudly during World War II in the United States Navy. He also enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening and going to senior citizens dances. He worked for Douglas Aircraft for many years and later retired from Union Public Schools. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
John was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Anita Russell, Erma Walters, 1 brother; Barton Hagan and daughter Terry Lamy.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Florine “Sis” Hagan of the home in Broken Arrow, OK, 2 sons; Danny Hagan and wife Kathy of Tulsa, OK, Randy Hagan of Claremore, OK, 4 grandchildren; Aaron Etherington of Edmond, OK, Justin Hagan and wife Janee of Scottsburg, IN, Michael Hagan and Matthew Hagan both of Tulsa, OK. 3 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services were held at 2 pm on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Seabolt Cemetery, Sequoyah County, OK with Bro. Udell Denny officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
