Akins Cemetery

Akins is located at 35°30'27?N 94°40'7?W (35.507392, -94.668642).
Atkins Cemetery is located 1/2 mile east of Akins on the south side of HWY 101, From the junction of Hwy 64 and Hwy 59 North at Sallisaw, head North across the rr tracks on 59 hwy go 3.3 miles to E1040 Rd, turn right (East), follow HWY 101 East to the Cemetery.

Sequoyah's Cabin, a national historic site, is located about two miles northeast of Akins.
Akins is perhaps best remembered as the home of the Floyd family and Charles Arthur Floyd is buried in the Akins Cemetery.
