Funeral services for Josh Lee Allen, 44, were held at the Methodist Church in Perryton, Texas on February 10, 1981.
Burial was at the Silent Home Cemetery near Roll, Oklahoma.
Josh was born April 16, 1936, to Rufus W. and Jennie B. Allen, near Crawford, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma where he lived and went to school, until his marriage to Glathea Sanford of Reydon, Oklahoma.
For the last sixteen years, Josh had been employed by Allred Oil Field Construction.
Josh had many hobbies, motorcycling and hunting being his favorites.
He will be missed by many, especially by his family.
Josh was preceded in death by his mother; one brother; and infant sons.
Surviving is his wife, Glathea; daughter, Twilla of the home; one daughter, Lisa Dowden; two sons, Ricky and Royce; two granddaughters, Jennifer April and Jaclyn Lee Allen, all of Perryton, Texas; his father, Rufus Allen of Cheyenne; four brothers, Jack Allen, Crawford; J. R. Allen of Rose, Nebraska; Clovis Allen of Liberal, Kansas; Sam Allen of Durham, Oklahoma; sisters, Meadow Bell Allen, Ruidoso, New Mexico; Tennie Dale Campbell, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Ellen Daniels of Cheyenne; Jimmie Lou Wilmoth of Cheyenne; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Andy Morris, Leon Bradshaw, Jerral Allred, James Burris, Vertis Stroup and Lloyd McDaniel.
