Leonard Hollis Bryan was born May 26, 1937 at Sweetwater, Oklahoma to
Hollis Albert and Lorene Gladys Smulcer Bryan and passed away
Tuesday, June 10 at the age of 60.
He graduated from Sweetwater High School
in 1955.
He began farming at a very early age and continued farming
in the Sweetwater community his entire farming career.
He was
discharged from the Army National Guard in 1965 after some six years
of service.
Leonard was married to Lois Brown on September 30, 1961
at Sayre.
He was a member of the Sayre Co-Op Association where he
served as a board member for sixteen years. His life was farming.
Leonard was a member of the New Liberty Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Brown of the home; three sons, Leonard
Dale Bryan and his wife Misti of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; Waylon Kent Bryan
and his wife Connie of Briscoe, Texas; and Timothy Mark Bryan of
Sweetwater; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hollis A. Bryan of
Sweetwater; his brother, Arnel Bryan and his wife Shirley of Pampa;
his sister, Patricia Sargent of Sweetwater; five grandchildren,
Brittany Bryan, Dallas Bryan, Deidra Bryan, Drak Bryan and Travis
Bryan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 13, 1997 at 10:00 a.m.
at the New Liberty Church with interment at Mulberry Cemetery,
Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of
Martin Funeral Home of Sayre.
