Abraham C. “Tito” Hernandez, 63, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Shawnee.
He was born August 15, 1955 to Abraham Rodriquez Hernandez, Sr. and Lois (Chavez) Hernandez in the U.S. Army hospital at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Abraham was raised in Waco, Texas and moved to Shawnee in 1979.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Abraham retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 30 years of service.
Papa loved cooking Sunday dinners and spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching sports and keeping his car clean.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Hernandez; and uncle, Abel Hernandez.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children and spouses, Jennifer and Corey Crenshaw of Shawnee, OK, Alex and Lindsay Hernandez of Shawnee, OK, Bianca and Jason Gilmore of Durant, OK, and Quanah Innis of Shawnee, OK; 13 grandchildren, Nick, Bella, Rachel, Zackery, Daezi, Julius, Cynthia, Aniyah, Linkin, Abel, Daevi, Mila and Christian; 1 great-granddaughter, Rosie; father, Abraham Hernandez, Sr. of Waco, TX; 1 sister and 1 brother-in-law, Belinda and Ray Garcia of Waco, TX; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00, Friday, February 8, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Ward, Taproot Church, Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Wakolee Family Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
