DERYLE GENE SCHIMA
1943 - 2012


Deryle Gene Schima was born on April 22, 1943, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 68.
Deryle, the son of Wesley Edward "Buster" and Azelee Sarah Thompson Schima, was a life-long resident of Prague.
He graduated from Centerview High School with the class of 1961.
Deryle married Sue Smith on February 26, 1962 in Prague.
He was a bricklayer by trade and retired as a foreman from Allied Masonry.
He also farmed for over 20 years.
Deryle was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Prague Golf Club, and the Bricklayers Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Sue Schima of the home; daughters, Windell Schima Thompson of Stroud; Kena Schima Ryan and her husband Steve of Shawnee; Sabra Schima and her companion Kylar of Edmond; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Annette Schima of Shawnee; sister, Karen Vining of Shawnee; many other relatives and friends.
The Schima family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday evening, January 5, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
Interment will follow at the Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague.
