WESLEY ELRAY SAUNDERS
1934 - 1999


Shawnee resident Wesley Elray Saunders died Saturday in Okemah. He was 64.
He was born August 7, 1934, in Red Rock, Oklahoma, to Harry Saunders and Emma Whitebird Saunders.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his sons, Steven Saunders of Oklahoma City, Stewart Saunders of Oklahoma City and Russell E. Saunders of Shawnee; daughters, Deletta M. Gibson of Prague; Lisa Fixico of Shawnee and Minnie Masquas of Shawnee and sisters, Ernestine Campbell of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Norabell Audette of Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rena Darlene Mack; sisters, Ruby Foley and Bernice Kihega; brother, Clem Jones and an infant daughter, Leslie C. Saunders.
Graveside services will be 8:00 a.m. today at Wakolee Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
