WENDELL DALE DARNELL
1957 - 2010


Wendell Dale Darnell, 52 year-old, Maud resident passed from this life Monday, May 31, 2010 in Calvin.
He was born September 21, 1957 in Pauls Valley to parents Wanda Jo Wallgren and Chester Fayne Darnell.
Wendell worked as a heavy equipment operator currently employed by Steve O'Daniel.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Jo Wallgren Darnell Campell Starr and her husband Steve Starr of Ada, Oklahoma, wife, Juree Foster Darnell of Calvin, Oklahoma, two sons, Isaac Franklin Darnell and Clinton Iven-Dale Darnell both of Calvin, Oklahoma, one daughter, Teresha Shavon Fowble of Chandler, Oklahoma, two brothers, Roy Hammons of Macomb, Oklahoma and Cody Campbell of California, one sister, Modene Campbell of Shawnee, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Jaxon Lee Dale Fowble and Alexis Leigh Fowble both of Chandler, Oklahoma.
Wendell was preceded in death by his father, Chester F. Darnell; one brother, Chester Darnell and one sister, Lavern Campbell Decker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2010 at Saint Louis First Baptist Church. Pastor Glenn Peck will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at Romulus Cemetery near Macomb, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers will be Frankie Walker, Russell Woods, Krag "Opie" Daniels, Mark Crawford, Gregg Foster and Bob Rackley.
Honorary bearers will be Jeffery Snodgrass, Donnie Jordan, Frank Foster and Jim Snodgrass.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from noon until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud.
Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
