DONALD D. AUSTIN
1941 - 2016


Donald “Don” D. Austin, age 75 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Kingston.
He was born May 28, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jesse Ronald and Ruby Elizabeth Mangus Austin.
Don grew up in Shawnee. He also lived in Tecumseh, and resided in Moore for 47 years. Don has lived in Kingston since 2013.
He attended Harrison Elementary with Shawnee Public Schools.
Don married Delores Rouse in Seminole on August 3, 1956.
He worked for The Daily Oklahoman for 40 years before his retirement.
Don enjoyed coaching little league football and baseball. He also liked to play the guitar and sing.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Austin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Delores Austin of the home; son, Donnie Austin and Terry of Kingston; daughter, Darla Price and Kirk of Pottsboro, Texas; brother, Phil Austin of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Danny Austin officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
