Graveside services for Evelyn Genell Sorrels, 88, of Allen are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Allen Cemetery, Mark Legg will officiate. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 8:30 a.m. Monday until service time.

Ms. Sorrels passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Holdenville. She was born January 12, 1930 at Allen to William Roy and Willie Mae Gibson Plunk.

Ms. Sorrels was a licensed practical nurse having worked at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Allen and the State School in Pauls Valley. She was a member of the Allen Church of Christ.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Robert Orso and wife Vikki of Allen, Sydney Boyd of Burleson, TX and Tanya McIllwain; a sister, Barbara Brewster of California; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two daughters, Linda McConnell and Dois Jean Fitzgerald.
