Services for Betty Jo Mitchell, 84, of Allen are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Allen. Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 Tuesday until service time. The family request all who attend the viewing and the service to please wear a mask.

Mrs. Mitchell passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home. She was born January 23, 1936 at Allen, OK to Jodie and Johnnie Lee Thompson Wallace. She attended Allen High School.

She married Kenneth Aaron Mitchell October 26, 1952 in Allen. He preceded her in death March 13, 2016. Mrs. Mitchell was the owner/operator of the B & K Restaurant in Allen for over 30 years and was famous for her coconut pies. She was a longtime member of Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Battles, Holdenville, Judy Castillo Smith and husband Ed, Allen, and Brenda Ashby, Konawa; ten grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Linda Beth Lee; great-grandchild, Kendall Beth Lee; a brother; and three sisters.

Bearers will be her grandsons.
