Services for Louis Ray Jarrett, 73, of Gerty are 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Richmond Ave. Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake and Rev. Bobby Briggs will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, at Criswell Funeral Home and Thursday, May 26 at the Allen Chapel.

Mr. Jarrett passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born April 25, 1949 in Miami, Arizona to Clifford Ray and Mary Jeanice Vaughn Jarrett.

He graduated from Allen High School in 1967 and then went on to East Central University, graduating in 1971. He later became a Barber.

He married Barbara Davis, June 21, 1968. They were married for 53 years.

Mr. Jarrett was a member of the Richmond Ave. Free Will Baptist Church for over 50 years. He became a Deacon, June 1989.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; two sons, Mitchell Jarrett, of Ada and Chris Jarrett, of Edmond; two grandchildren, Logan Ray Jarrett and Bricen Arterberry; and four great grandchildren, Lexi Arterberry, Krease Arterberry, Paycus Arterberry and Denni Jae Arterberry.

Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Floyd Jarrett and Ed Jarrett.

Bearers will be Frank Griffith, Frank Starns, Scott Jarrett, Lee Jarrett, Jeff Maloy and Greg Sanders. Honorary bearers are J.B. Owens, Buddy Lawson, Eugene Sanders and Steve Dobbins.
