Services for Owen E. “Blackie” Haney, 75, of Byng are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Aaron Foshee will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Haney died Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home. He was born October 30, 1946 in Ada to Ruth A. Keys and raised by his grandparents, Owen Thomas and Della Keys. He graduated from Ada High School.

He married Susan M. Mullen on March 12, 1970 in Ada. Mr. Haney was employed with K & H Construction for many years, and later retired from East Central University as a Structural Superintendent in December 2009. He was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of the home; four sons, Stephen Haney and wife Natalie, Ada, Gerald Haney and wife Ronna, Holdenville, William Haney and wife Melinda, Allen and Mathew Haney and wife Whitney, Ada; a daughter, Mary Baker, Milburn; grandchildren, Martin Haney, Kaleb Haney, Journee Haney, Brittany Haney, Geralyn Haney, Genna Haney, Jeanette Baker and Kayla Baker; five great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother; maternal grandparents; a grandson, Clayton Haney; and step-sister, Linda Cook.

Bearers will be his sons, Daniel Johnson and Alan Babb.
