Graveside services for Kenneth “Hoot” Gibson, 85, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Gibson passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his home. He was born August 20, 1935 to Woodrow W. and Augusta Rowe Gibson. He graduated from Allen High School and served 2 years in the Army.

He was a rancher and had a passion for rodeo. Mr. Gibson was a member of the Ada Elks Lodge and the Choctaw Nation.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Shelly Johnson, of Shawnee and Sheri Hayes of Ada; grandchildren, Kyndra Haney, Amber Johnson, Shayna Hill, Britney Gibson, Jade Hayes, Dylan Hayes and wife Kylie, and Presley Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Augusta Gibson; a son, Shayne Gibson; and a brother, Bill Gibson.

Bearers will be Dylan Hayes, Austin Feezle, Rylee Davidson, Riley Evans, Johnny McDonald, and Weston Pogue. Honorary bearers are Jerry Jones, Brett Lancaster, Tom Gault and Tony Nemecek.
