Services for James LaVaughn Bray, 91, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Kendall Martin and Darrell Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Bray died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at an Ada hospital. He was born December 3, 1923 in Ada to L. M. and Martha LaFever Bray. He attended Colbert school.

He married Geneva Davis in 1941. Mr. Bray was a carpenter who built and re-modeled many homes in the Ada area until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva, of the home; two daughters-in-law, Marie Bray and Karen Bray; two great-grandsons, Brandon and Tyler Stith; a sister-in-law, Betty Bray; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sons, Johnny Bray and Jimmy Bray; two granddaughters, Sheila Bray and Michelle Stith; a sister, Vera Tyler; and two brothers, Joe Bray and Lindy Bray. Bearers will be Randy Davis, Ricky Davis, Rusty Hudson, Tyler Stith, Brandon Stith and Bruce Whisenant. Honorary bearers will be Bill Osborn and Charles Bazzell.
