Services for Harold Leonard Akins, 79, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Richmond Ave. Free Will Baptist Church, Revs. Bobby Briggs and Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, August 23, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m at the Allen Chapel.

Mr. Akins passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at a Seminole hospital. He was born February 17, 1942 in Ada to Clyde Leonard and Donna Dean Hardwick Akins.

Mr. Akins was married to Cathy Hodo. He worked in the oilfield for over 35 years. Mr. Akins was a member of the Allen Lodge #81 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Shriner and a member of the Allen Richmond Ave. Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Cathy; son, Pete Malone and wife Brandi, Ada; daughter, Leslie Hudgins, Ada; brother, Larry Akins; sisters, Altha Edens and Peggy Greene; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, very special friend, Adam Colbert, and numerous brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Preston Akins and Kenny Akins.

Bearers are Bradley Jones, Philip Hodo, Greg Chermack, Bobby Malone, Frankie Bell and James Moss. Honorary bearers are Darrel Phillips, Benny Prentice and Adam Colbert.

His grandsons will be bearers.
