Mary Ada (Green) Lusk, 87, of Indianola, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Indianola First Baptist Church, 608 S. 2nd St. Indianola, officiated by Rev. Mike Perry. Burial will follow at Indianola Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Dustin Johnson, John Lusk, Jeffrey Lusk, Larry Goldesberry, Jeremy Goldesberry, and Josh Muskrat. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Jamison and Joey Davis Mary was born to Boy Amos and Cleo Inez (Sutton) Green on August 15, 1935 in Crowder. She graduated from Indianola High School. She married Harold Dean "Rackey" Lusk on August 7, 1953 in McAlester. She worked as a seamstress at Komar for 21 years, retiring in 1988. Mary then worked nine years for Easley Communications Answering Service. Mary was committed to her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She enjoyed bowling and going to play bingo, and loved to travel. She was a person of faith and lived a life serving others. Mary was a member of the Indianola First Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Canadian Lodge #378. Mary will be missed but not forgotten. She was preceded in death by her father: Boy Amos Green; mother: Cleo Inez Green-Bryant; husband: Harold "Rackey" Lusk on August 11, 2016; brother: Robert Green; and sisters: Judith Justice, Juanita Hamilton, Cora McElhaney, and Bonnie Hackler. Mary is survived by her sons: Jerry John Lusk and wife, Teri of Sapulpa, Jeff Lusk and wife, JoAnna of Indianola; daughter: Janet Johnson and husband, Hank of Sapulpa; grandchildren: Dustin Johnson and wife, Brandi of Sapulpa, Laura Muskrat and husband, Josh of Glenpool, Staci Lusk of Sapulpa, John Lusk of Chicago, Illinois, Larry Goldesberry and wife, Darci of Jenks, Jeremy Goldesberry and wife, Morgan of Sand Springs, Kari Jamison and husband, Joe of Jenks, Chelsea Davis and husband, Joey of Sand Springs, Jeffrey Lusk and wife, Savanah of Tushka, Hollie Eldridge of Indianola, Stephanie Carter of Indianola, Rowdy Hubbard and wife, Stephanie of Anchorage, Alaska; 24 great-grandchildren; sister: Freda Akins of Amarillo, Texas; sisters-in-law: Sue McClish of Oolagah, Francis Lusk of Indianola, Marie Green of Shawnee; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
