Terry Lee Sweet, 73, of McAlester, died Monday, July 3, 2023 at McAlester Regional Health Center. Visitation will be Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne, Oklahoma with Bill Smith officiating. Terry was born on June 16, 1950 at Klamath Falls, Oregon to Eugene Jacob and Vivian Lucille Sweet. During his early years he lived in Oregon and Pakistan. Before moving to Pakistan, he was in boy scouts and became the youngest eagle scout in that area. In 1968 the family moved to Hartshorne, Oklahoma where he graduated high school in 1969. In 1971 he married Mary Pace and had two children, even though later they would divorce, they would remain friends until his passing. Terry loved spending time with his family and enjoyed going to the Choctaw Community Center to spend time with his friends and helping with meals. Survivors include his son, Terry Sweet and daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Sweet and Jerry Luce; a brother, Cleveland Sweet; grandchildren, Amber Sweet and spouse, Cory, Jordan Aumiller and spouse, Aubri, Cheyenne Scott, Sashka Sweet, Annaleise Sweet, Emily Luce and Wyatt Luce; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Avannah, Marih, Sean, Axll, Arraha, Athena and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter, Klisha Lucille Brown.
