Linda E. Day Vasso, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 in Oklahoma City at the age of 51 years.

The daughter of the late Carl Day and Barbara Goforth Day, Linda was born on December 4, 1960 in Cushing and was raised and educated in Cushing.

She was united in marriage to Albert Vasso on November 15, 1979 in Cushing and to this union two children, Richard and Casey, were born.

Linda was a member of the Baptist Church; she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Albert, of Cushing; one son, Richard Vasso and his fiancé, Alisha, of Ventura, CA; one daughter, Casey Davis and her husband, William, of Yukon, OK; one brother, James Day of Cushing; three sisters, Alena Day of Cushing, Terry Thompson of Cushing and Jana Laubach and her husband, Lee, of Okeene; a granddaughter Bailee Davis of Yukon; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Day and two brothers, Michael Day and Gary Day.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Stapp, Pastor of the Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Viewing will start Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
