Kenneth Ray Samuels, Stillwater resident, passed away on Sunday evening, October 15, 2006 at his residence at the age of 66 years.

The son of the late Aubrey Dewey Samuels and Dora Aline Wagnon Samuels, Kenneth was born on June 6, 1940 in Clinton, OK.

He was raised in Clinton until age seven, and then moved with his family to Cushing. He graduated from Stroud High School in 1958.

He served in the United States Marines for six years and then served in the Air Force for fourteen years. He worked in the Military as a base career advisor. In addition, he also retired from teaching Special Education classes at Central Vo-Tech in Drumright, OK.

He was united in marriage to Flora Jackson on April 9, 1962 in Chandler, OK. To this union two children, Timmy and Tony were born.

Kenneth was a member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed watching sports, especially University of Oklahoma football, going to the beach and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Flora of the home; one son, Timmy Samuels and his wife Deborah of Stillwater; three grandchildren, Jackson Hollman, Eric Samuels and Natisha Samuels; one great-grandchild, Nevaeh Samuels; one sister, Mary L. Smith of Muskogee and one brother Tommy D. Samuels of Qatar; aunts Paula Downs of Del City and Lorene Wilson of Rapid City, SD; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tony Dean Samuels and one sister, Patsy Mahan.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Tim Emmons of First Baptist Church Prague, officiating.
