Reverend Frank Cyphers, faithful servant of the Lord, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Natchitoches, LA.

Frank was born on February 18, 1926 in War, West Virginia to Perry and Elizabeth Cyphers.

He had two brothers, Daniel (Dan) and Commadore and two sisters, Georgia and Virginia.

He served in the Navy during War World II. Upon returning from War, he married Betty Christian, his childhood sweetheart. To this union, four children, Sandra, Janey, Frances and Benita, were born. Betty preceded him in death.

After his honorable discharge, Frank became a coal miner.

He started his ministry in 1948 with his brother Dan. Frank would preach and Dan would lead the singing. He was a firm believer in the Advent Christian Doctrine and became a full time minister in 1958, moving his family to preach at the First Advent Christian Church in Fayetteville, NC.

In 1964 he took the church in Yale, OK leading the church to build and again leading the children in Bible schools, Camp Shockley and Camp Texas in Grapevine, TX.

He followed the Lord's leading taking him and his family to North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama and many times in Oklahoma. After his wife's death, he moved to Louisiana and was ministering with the church family there in Natchitoches.

Frank touched many lives of the church family. He performed many baptisms, marriages, celebrating with the families as they had children and sharing the sorrow of the families as they were laid to rest.

The world was a better place for having Frank serving the Lord and leading others to find the love and joy of the Lord. We will miss him and he will always be in our hearts.

Frank is survived by three daughters, Janey Williams and husband Donald of Yale, OK, Frances Hutson and husband Louis of Natchitoches, LA and Benita Cyphers of Natchitoches, LA; six grandchildren, Samantha Lancaster and husband Jeff of Bristow, OK, Tabatha Williams of Yale, OK, Danielle Williams of Evansville, IN, Frank Church, Scott Frederick and Christian Ivy all of Natchitoches, LA; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Addie and Jackson Lancaster of Bristow, OK and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Kay.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Advent Christian Church with Steve Tiger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the funeral home.
