Karlene Kautz Butler, formerly of Cushing now of Spring, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2006 in Houston, TX at the age of 75 years.

The daughter of the late Karl Kautz and Bernice Ferguson Kautz, Karlene was born on February 10, 1931 in Cushing and was reared and educated in the Cushing Schools.

She was united in marriage to James Butler on June 7, 1948 in Cushing and to this union two sons, James D. and Roger S. were born.

Karlene was a homemaker and she enjoyed working with crafts.

She is survived by her husband James L. Butler of the home; two sons, James D. Butler and his wife Adabeth of Granbury, TX and Roger S. Butler of Granbury, TX; one brother Ed Kautz and his wife Maxine of Cushing; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Heather; two grandsons, Sam and Joseph Knight; several great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Associate Pastor Ralph Hickman, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
