Mary M. [Daugherty] Dobson Hall
February 27, 1902 ~ April 25, 2011


Mary M. Daugherty Hall, longtime Cushing resident and believed to to be one of the oldest people in Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the age of 109 years.

The daughter of the late Augustus Lonigan Daugherty and Lucy Adeline Brown Daugherty, Mary was born on February 27, 1902 in Legate, Oklahoma and was raised and educated here in Cushing.

Mary was united in marriage to Bud Dobson and to this union two children, Billy and Rosetta, were born. Later she was united in marriage to William Hall and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1981.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She enjoyed spending time at the Cushing Senior Citizen and enjoyed the 30 years she had worked at the Cushing Laundry.

Mary is survived by five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma Harmon of Carrollton, TX; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her children, Billy Dobson in July of 2005, and Rosetta Priddy in July of 1999; two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Moore, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
