Alice M. [Wait] Clark
November 12, 1910 ~ December 2, 2000


Alice M. Clark, 90, enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking care of her flowers and watching the birds in her back-yard.

She died Saturday, December 2, 2000. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Ralph Hickman officiating. Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Cushing.

The daughter of the late Sherman Wait and Lillie Street Wait she was born November 12, 1910, in White Cloud, Kan.

She came to Cushing as a teenager from Breckenridge, Texas, and had lived in this area since that time.

She was united in marriage to Virgil O. Clark Jan. 25, 1930, in Cushing and to this union one son, Troy, was born. Virgil preceded her in death March 17, 1999.

She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, loved her Sunday school class and enjoyed going to the "Keenagers" luncheons and activities.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Everet Wait and two sisters, Bessie Corber and Ethel Hendron.

She is survived by one son, Tray and his wife, Pam, of Piedmont; one grandson, Dale Clark and his wife Cynthia, of Oklahoma City; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Brian Bradford Clark
November 5, 1996 ~ December 11, 2023


Brian Bradford Clark was born November 5, 1996, to Brad Clark and Susan Retherford in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He departed this life December 11, 2023, at the age of 27.

He graduated from Jenks High School. He had many hobbies including drawing, working on computers, fishing, and riding dirt bikes.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Retherford; father, Brad Clark; one sister, Kristen Clark; grandmother, Clarita Yost; Uncle and aunt, Mike and Amanda Clark, Uncle, Simon Retherford; cousin, Brett Retherford and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Troy Retherford, grandparents, Jack and Wanda Clark and Uncle Doug Retherford.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Clouse officiating.

Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home
