Ressie Richard "Rerss" Adams
September 13, 1905 ~ April 20, 1977


Ress Adams, 71, of 3200 Wofford, Del City, died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services are pending with Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Adams was born in Tennessee & moved to the Chandler-Davenport area as a child. He moved to Spencer in 1964 & later to Del City.

Adams was the retired owner of a self-service laundry in Spencer & a member of First Baptist Church of Cushing, Oklahoma.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bob [Janet] Birdsong. Del City; 4 brothers, Bill & Leo, both of Wellston, & Lester & Clyde both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Thelma Sloggett, Depew; Lena Curtis, Oklahoma City, & Mallie Earp, Cushing, & 2 Grandchildren.

Florene [Eldridge] Adams
March 19, 1912 ~ April 20, 1965


Funeral Services for Mrs. Florean Adams, a former Cushing resident who died Tuesday in Oklahoma City, were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. J. Paul Carlton, assistant pastor of the Crown Heights Baptist Church in OKlahoma City, & Rev Ralph Moffet conducting the service.

Mrs. Robert Kiehn sandg "How Great Thou Art" & Pearly White City". She was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Bennie Fisher.

Casket bearers were C.L. Morley, WlL. Simon, Don Crenshaw, Brawner Shi, Clarence Eldridge & Jack Eldridge.

Interment under direction of the Davis Funeral Home, was in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Lonnie Leroy Adams
January 16, 1941 ~ November 23, 2015


Lonnie Leroy Adams, retired printer, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 in Tulsa, at the age of 74 years. The son of the late Art Adams and Edith Cochran Adams, Lonnie was born on January 16, 1941 in Yale, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in the Norfolk and Yale Schools, graduating from Yale High School.

He was united in marriage to Glenda Guest on August 27, 1961 in the Council Valley Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1999.

Lonnie had worked for the United States Jaycees as a printer for many years prior to his retirement.

He loved playing the guitar, singing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He will also be remembered for knowing the very best places to eat.

He is survived by a brother Don Adams of Stillwater; a brother-in-law Joe Mendenhall of Yale; a sister-in-law Ruthie Adams of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother James Adams and two sisters, Phyllis Mendenhall and Barbara Gottfried.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing.

Services under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Bradley Don Adams
March 22, 1958 ~ September 19, 2015


Bradley Don Adams, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Cushing at the age of 57 years.

The son of the late Don Adams and Dixie Delane Simmons McElroy, Bradley was born on March 22, 1958 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Bradley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cushing.

He had a passion for volunteering; he had volunteered at the Food Bank, Love INC and an animal shelter in Stillwater.

He loved music, whether it was listening to music, singing or playing his guitar; painting; eating and spending time with his family.

Survivors include one brother, David Pittser, of Owasso; several nieces and nephews, Shanna Marler and her husband Jeremiah, Jessica Ledgerwood and her husband Franklin, Chelsea Huckabay, Samuel Pittser, Davee Pittser and Royce Pittser and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bradley was preceded in death by one sister, Sonya Percell.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Steve Holley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Floyd Family Center.
