Alexandria Delphine [Butler] Levier
July 23, 1935 ~ November 15, 2015


Alexandria Delphine Butler Levier passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at her home at the age of 70 years. She was born July 23, 1935 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Carl and Laura Belle Ceasar Butler.

She had lived in the Cushing and Stroud area most of her life. She attended school at Schlegel, Yale High School and graduated from Drumright High School in 1956. She also graduated from Oklahoma State University Technical School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Alexandria worked for the Cushing Head Start Program from 1970 until 1980. During this time she attended Langston University graduating in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.

She was a member of the Pawnee and Sac and Fox Tribes.

She is survived by her five children, Carl and Jeannie Cobb of Mannford, James and Eudora Rogers of Cushing, Laura Ardese of Cushing, Edie Cox of Cushing, and Dwight Levier of Cushing; one brother, Benjamin Butler of Cushing; two sisters, Emma Butler Harjo and her husband Rueben of Tulsa and Oresa Butler Wilson and her husband A.C. of Cushing; eleven grandchildren, Tonya Barker, Carl R. Cobb, Holly Gains, Jimmy Estes, Dana Estes, Kerry Houston, Patricia Levier, James Rogers, II, Darrell Rogers, Walter Cox and Silas Cox; great grandchildren, Taylor Cobb, Cory Barker, Kirsty Chase, Miranda Houston, Colleen Levier, Carlie Levier, Colin Walliser, Megan Reid, Michael Gilliam and Kaily Estes; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George and Larry Butler.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 2 P.M. in the Butler Cemetery, northeast of Cushing.
