In 1970, © James W. Tyner & Alice Tyner Timmons set out to compile a complete listing of the old cemeteries in Northeast Oklahoma. The following list for Berry Cemetery, Ottawa County, Oklahoma, comes from their work: © "OUR PEOPLE And Where They Rest." It is "A visit to eighty-two old cemeteries in Northeast Oklahoma." Volume 2, First edition 1970, Second printing 1978.
We as a people, living first in Indian Territory, later to become the State of Oklahoma (November 16, 1907), should be very thankful to the Tyner's and their tireless efforts in exploring and compiling the listings of these cemeteries, before they were lost forever.

This cemetery is deep in the woods, seasonally maintained and not fenced. There were many unmarked graves that could not be determined who they were.
