Whittington, Lonnie (Blackie), 82, born Feb. 10, 1911 in Quanah, TX., died June 22, 1993. He was a pilot instructor, an Air Force veteran of WWII receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross, an Air Medal, Chinese Volunteer Service Medal, Service Pilot Award, Victory Field Medal. Member of the P.C. Baptist Church, Shriner, 32nd degree Mason Seminole Lodge #147, Hump Pilot's Ass'n, Eastern Star, V.F. W., Moose Lodge, and an avid bowler.. ..... Preceded in death by his previous wife, Bertie Mae {Gattenby}. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Ass'n, 4900 N. Portland, Suite 116, Okc 73112. Services 11 A. M. Sat., Gene Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
