Wyatt Donn Burgess, infant son of Darnell “Chief” Burgess and Tina Burgess, passed from this life on January 31, 2014. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating Wyatt’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 following the traditional noon feast at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center in Red Rock with Rev. Jimmy Kenner, officiating. Interment will follow at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery in Red Rock, OK.

Wyatt Donn Burgess was deeply loved and he left an unmistakable mark in the lives of many people. Although Wyatt’s time with his family was very short and his promise was never fully realized, the joy and excitement that he brought to his family will last for a lifetime.

Wyatt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Darnell Burgess Sr.

Wyatt is survived by his parents, Darnell and Tina Burgess; a brother, Dakotah Burgess; three sisters, Montana, Margaret, and Jacquelyn Burgess; grandparents, Charlie and Sherry Harris; great grandma, Becky Burgess and great grandma Melton; aunts, Cindy, Tina, Connie, Cindy, Geneen, Casey, Lisa, Season; uncles, Josh, John, Frank, David, Monty, Gary, and Ricky. He is also survived by numerous cousins and special friends.

The family wishes to say a special thanks to Carol Bible, Dena Primeaux, and the Otoe-Missouria Tribe for their help and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you hug your kids and take a child fishing.
