Colleen Baumgart, a lifelong resident of Noble County, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 in Perry, OK. She was the granddaughter of William W.A.-No-Sa Faw Faw, Lucy Missouria Chief Faw Faw, Victor Mi- Ste-Ke- Dupuis and Lydia Ho-Gra-Me-Childs, Great Granddaughter of Louis Bernard Faw Faw, Me- Hun-Tha-Ga, Fredrick Dupuis and Theresa-Tesson- Dupuis.

Colleen was born September 14, 1927 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Louis Morgan Faw Faw and Edna Dupuis Faw Faw.

Colleen was a graduate of Perry High School and retired after 25 years of service to the Ponca Tribe at the Social Development Center in Ponca City. She was preceded in death by 3 husbands: Virgil Floyd Cheshewalla, Roy Burgess, and William F. Baumgart. Mrs. Baumgart devoted her life to service to her church, the Otoe Baptist Church in Red Rock. She loved travelling the United States and participating in social tribal affairs and loved her Otoe-Missouria people. She was light hearted, loved laughing and had a beautiful smile.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Monica Audran, Savannah, GA and Red Rock, OK; her son, Dewayne Burgess, Ponca City, OK ; two granddaughters, Seneca Audran-Brown and Chantal Audran; three grandsons, Ryan, Brent and Devon Burgess, and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Baumgart is survived by one brother, Louis Faw Faw, Jr. of Oklahoma City. She had 25 nieces and nephews from her beloved siblings, five of whom have preceded her in death.

Services will be held at the Otoe Baptist Church, Red Rock, OK at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 12th, 2016 with a funeral feast to follow.

Interment will be in the Otoe Missouria Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry, OK and Otoe Baptist Church, Red Rock, OK.
