Greta Marie (Brown-Stanley) Adams

Greta Marie Brown-Stanley Adams joined her Father in heaven on April 1, 2018.

She was 92. She was born on March 2, 1926 in Red Rock , Oklahoma to Bert Brown-Stanley and Anna Caramel Howell Brown-Stanley. She worked for the Otoe-Missouria tribe as a receptionist. She enjoyed attending pow wows, watching Steve Harvey, sewing, fringing shawls, volunteering with the church youth as well as volunteering at Falls Creek. She attended Chilocco school graduating in 1944 and the Pawnee Indian School nicknamed "Gravy U". 

She is survived by her children, Sharilyn Stephens of Fort Worth, Texas, Bert M and wife Camilla Samqua of North Miami Beach, Florida, Anita Wilkinson and husband Stephen Fisher of Redmont, Washington, Mae and husband Arlington LeClair of Ponca City and Carla Adams of the home; grandchildren Pon and Gary Hillier, Melody and Chase Wall, Luana and Jeremiah Steinbach, Robin and Bradley Moore, Ryan and Lacy Pratt, Stephen Pratt, Shawna Cogburn and Terra Wheeler; great grandchildren Gary Hillier III, Jonatha Hillier, Brian Hillier, Kara Tachiera, Jarred Tachiera, Kelly Tachiera, Tyler Tollett, Lily Hampton, Alyssa Steinbach, Maelah Pratt-Moore, Mason Pratt-Moore, Edgar Moore, Draven Moore, Paige Pratt, John Pratt, Asha Pratt,as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bert Brown-Stanley, one sister LaBerta May Smith, and one son Virgil Lee Adams. 

A traditional tribal service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2018 at the Otoe Baptists Church in Red Rock. The feast will begin at Noon. Pastor Jimmy Kenner will officiate. Pallbearers will include Ryan Pratt, Stephen Pratt, Edgar Moore, Mason Pratt, Chase Wall and Tyler Tollett. Honorary bearers are Draven Moore and John Pratt.
