Bonnie Jean (Bowden) Arnold-Phillips

Bonnie Jean (Bowden) Arnold-Phillips
January 15, 1937 ~ February 3, 2018

Bonnie Jean Arnold-Phillips, 81, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born on January 15, 1937 in Wainwright, Oklahoma to Edward Bowden and Eva (Brantley) Bowden. She attended public schools and graduated from Wainwright High School in 1956.

Bonnie Bowden met and later married Calvin Arnold on September 24, 1960. Their lives were blessed with three children, sons, Darrell and Bobby; and daughter, Sheryl.

Bonnie was very proud of business she started and owned with Calvin, Arnold Fruit Company. She enjoyed going to work every day to see friends and customers. She always had an open heart and ear.

Years after Calvin's death, Bonnie married Wayne Phillips in November of 1985. They shared many years of life together when Wayne passed in 2014.

She will always be remembered for her support of the community. She donated many items and money for many community events. Bonnie also supported many youth sports teams over her lifetime. But most of all, she loved gathering with family during the holidays. She also loved watching her kids and grandkids playing sports. Taking trips to Branson was also a favorite pastime.

Mrs. Bonnie will be missed by many friends and family. However, this is not the end; this is the beginning. Bonnie will be waiting in Heaven for all her family and friends with open arms with that GREAT BIG smile.

A special thanks to granddaughters, Tiffany Robbins and Megan Arnold for their help during their grandmother's illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eva Bowden; her husbands, Calvin Arnold and Wayne Phillips; her siblings, Irene Bowden, Melvin Bowden, Lucille Turner, and E. K. Bowden; son-in-law, Aaron Robbins; children, Jerry Arnold, Larry Arnold, Gary Arnold, and Judy Arnold.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Darrell Arnold and wife Maureen of Fort Gibson, Bobby Arnold and wife Dawn of Muskogee; daughter, Sheryl Robbins of Fort Gibson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; siblings, Lawrence Bowden, James Bowden, Joe Bowden, Bobby Bowden, Joyce Steveson, and Wanda Cook; along with other family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Bonnie's life will be 2PM, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Alvarez officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Darrell Arnold, Bobby Arnold, Andrew Arnold, Calvin Arnold, Matthew Arnold, and Jake Robbins serving as pallbearers.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
