Jerry Wayne "Pete" Standifird, 70, of Warner, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. He was born November 19, 1946 to Jim and Alma (Cline) Standifird in Porum, Oklahoma. He was a high school graduate and later attended college and received his Associates Degree in Business Administration. Pete joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War serving in Korea. He retired after serving 20 years in the Army.
Pete married the love of his life, Rosie Dorris, on November 3, 1967. They shared 49 years of a happy life and marriage together.
He loved his family unconditionally and loved taking care of them. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alma Standifird; parents-in-law, Clayton and Marie Dorris; brothers, Allen Standifird, and Clyde Standifird; brothers-in-law, Otto Dorris and Huber Dorris; and sister-in-law, Ruby Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Standifird; children, Dana and Chris Crumpler, Kristy and Chris Bach; grandchildren, Nick, Karis, Kenzi, and Dakota; siblings, Dave Standifird and wife Carole, Bill Standifird; brother-in-law, Albert Dorris and wife Pat, sister-in-law, Nedra Bailey and husband, Rick; and many other family members and friends.
Public visitation will be 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A graveside service honoring Pete's life will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Fields Cemetery in Porum, Oklahoma with Ed Standifird and Blake Bailey officiating.
