Tommy Joe Thompson, age 69 of Newcastle passed away Monday, June 15, 2021.

Tommy was born February 17, 1952 in Long Beach California. He was the 2nd of four children born to late John and Barbara Thompson. Sister, Judy, brothers Tony & John. Tommy graduated in 1970 from U.S. Grant High School and followed his father into fire service. Tommy served as an Oklahoma City Firefighter for more than 30 years and retired as a Lieutenant in 2003. He later retired from John Deere P&K Equipment in 2017. Tommy cherished his wife Rita of 41 years and he loved his family and grandbabies most of all. He was never happier than the day he became a Papaw.

Tommy is survived by: His wife, Rita, son, Brock, Daughters Shelly & Bobbie. His 9 wonderful grandchildren Taylor, Kelsey, Brooklynn, Rylee, Tyler, Britton, Denton, Garrett, & (Cheyenne in heaven). His two great- grandbabies Brier & Kimbra. A host of nieces and nephews. He will forever be missed & remembered by his family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 18th at First Baptist Church of Newcastle. Interment will follow at Newcastle Memorial Gardens. Send condolences @ wilsonlittle.com.
