Buddy Wayne Chester Obit

Jul 01, 1943 - Feb 24, 2018

Buddy Wayne “Bud” Chester passed away Saturday, 24 Feburary 2018 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was 74 and lived in Bridge Creek, OK

Bud was one of ten children born to John William and Emma Faye (Gilbert) Chester on July 1, 1943 in Watonga, OK.

He graduated in 1961 from Lookeba Sickles High School in Lookeba, OK. He worked as a Police Office for the Anadarko Police Department and then became a truck driver for Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy until retirement. He enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Bessie Grissell and Irene Scott, his brothers, John “Sonny” Chester, Harold Chester, Leon Chester, Ray Chester, and a great-grandson, Will Stidham.

He is survived by his long-time companion Glenna Fuller, son, Steven W. Chester, daughter, Lisa A. Martin. His grandchildren, Adam W. Stidham, Amanda A. Phillips, Andrea L. Challis, Ashley B. Losey, Brandon W. Stouder Chester and Robert D. Martin II and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Glenna Fuller's children, Brenda Wright and Cindy Rush and her grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, 28 February 2018 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Moore Funeral and Cremation located at 400 SE 19 Street, Moore OK 73160; 405-794-7600. The family was present from 3pm and 5 pm for visitation.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, 01 March 2018 at 2 pm at the Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment was at the Newcastle Memorial Gardens in Newcastle, OK.
