Bobby Jay Blanton, 81, passed away on May 2, 2022, surrounded by family in Norman, Oklahoma.

The son of William Franklin Blanton and Frankie Mary (Norton) Blanton, he was born on March 20, 1941, in Bokchito, Oklahoma.

Bob married Danna Ann Hightower on July 4, 1963, in Lindsay. He worked as a truck driver for Clements Foods for several years. When he was younger, he was involved in a softball league. Bob enjoyed golfing and bowling in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy and Dora Faye; one brother, Billy; and nephew, Little Bob.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Danna Blanton of Newcastle; one son, Bobby and wife, Leah, of Newcastle; one daughter, Lori Nissen and husband, Eric, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Courtney and husband, JT, Shelby and husband Blake, Cory, Kevin, and Dani and husband, Josh; six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Paisley, Ellie “Junebug”, Titus, DJ, Shepherd; a sister-in-law, Sylita Kessinger and husband, Jerry, of Tuttle; nephew, Charlie Bourbeau and several more nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M, Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com
