Memorial services for Roy Asbury, 66 were held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2004 in the Blanchard Cemetery. Bill Lancaster officiated with arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.

Mr. Asbury was born March 26, 1938 in Illinois and left us unexpectedly on March 31, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He enjoyed the outdoors and had become a handyman, helping many with yard work and repairs for people in and around the Blanchard area. He originated from Illinois. He settled in the Blanchard area and married Diana Karr on April 20, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Roy was a dear friend to many, who will miss his laughter and kindness a great deal.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Roxy Mansker of Minco.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Asbury; one stepson: Chris and his wife Tammy, and their two children; one step daughter: Victoria Karr; one brother: Russell Asbury of Chickasha; one sister Evvie of Illinois; one brother Ralf Asbury of Illinois; and many other friends and family who will grieve his loss greatly.
