Douglas Lavon Pierce, 59, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma passed away on February 8, 2023, at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

He was born August 21, 1963, in Ardmore to Theodore Lavon Pierce and Shirley Ann Murphy Pierce.  Doug was raised in Ardmore and graduated high school from Dickson High School in 1981.  He served 3 years in the United States Marine Corp where he received an honorable discharge.   Doug lived in Midlothian, Texas before moving back to Ardmore and working as an EMT for Love County.  He also worked as a truck driver.  Doug was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed watching football. 
 

Doug is survived by Mother Shirley Ann Pierce, Ardmore, Oklahoma; Brother: Travis Pierce, Ardmore, Oklahoma. Aunts: Virginia Bain, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Barbara Stolberg, Kerrville, Texas, Nita Sue Tollison, Phoenix, Arizona, Carolyn Proffitt, Ardmore, Oklahoma.
 
Doug was preceded in death by his father.
