Deceased Name: Lucille 'Granny' Gumm

Denison -Lucille "Granny" Gumm, age 78, went home to be the Lord Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Gumm was born on June 16, 1929, in Union Grove, Oklahoma to Earl and Vivian (Gurley) Cox. Lucille married Alva Preston Gumm on November 14, 1947, in Foreman, Arkansas. Lucille was affectionately known as Granny and lived it to the fullest. She loved the Lord and was a member of Murray Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Granny loved to spend time family and was always there for them. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Granny will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Gumm is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Alva Gumm of Denison, Texas; daughters, Linda Miller and husband, Kenny of Denison, Texas, Cynthia Tillett and husband Ricky of Tom Bean, Texas; grandchildren, James Doty and wife Brandy and their children, Nicole and Ashley of Denison, Texas, Bill Tillett and wife Christina and their children, Alexis and Jocelyn of Whitewright, Texas, Allen Tillett and wife Jennifer and their son Ethan of Tom Bean, Texas, Marcey Bench and husband Randy and their daughter Meredith of Farmersville, Texas, Kendra Pickle and husband David and their children, Brent Reed, Maci and Larissa Pickle of Denison, Texas, Kinsley Miller of Denison; sisters, Earlene Ebert and Norma Wilkinson and her husband Eldon all of Haworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Cox.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Stevens officiating.

Interment will follow at McMillan Cemetery in McMillan.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and their spouses will serve as honorary pallbearers. Condolences may be registered online at fisherfh.com
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main in Denison.
